To better understand the condition of existing municipal drainage and sewer pipelines, especially pipeline sections that have been in service for many years.

During the pipe inspect project, Jiutai Technology’s GT108 pipeline inspection robot was used to inspect DN600, DN800 and DN1000 rainwater and wastewater pipelines in several road sections.

The main reason of choose GT108 was it can operate steadily in medium and large diameter municipal pipelines, it have electric lifting camera, Super power,Super obstacle and climbing ability.electrical reel wire, Easy to move, and provide clear internal images and videos, After the inspection is completed, can one click generation a inspection report.

The pipe crawler system is equipped with 4MGP high-resolution zoom camera. During pipe inspection, technician were able to see the pipe wall condition in detail, including sediment had accumulated areas, joints were misaligned, or the internal surface showed signs of damage.

The cctv sewer crawler robot camera can record all inspection videos and images. and inspector will reviewed all process and analysis the inspection report.

In some pipe sections, we need use some additional measurement functions to estimate defect size and sediment thickness, which helped distinguish between small issues and areas that would require follow-up maintenance work.

Inspection Results

During the inspection, the GT108 sewer crawler robot camera identified the questions of incomplete cleaning areas and sediment remained inside the pipeline.

At first time analysis, The pipeline issue is not serious. However, 150-180m pipeline sections, sediment buildup can affect the water flow rate within pipes. This can affect drainage efficiency and increase the risk of water accumulation during periods of heavy rainfall.

Over time, long-term sediment retention may also can pipe corrossion, increase the risk of leakage, especially in older pipelines.

Inspection Method Compared with Manual

Compared with traditional manual inspection methods, the GT108 sewer crawler robot camera reduced the risk for confined-space entry and allowed inspection work to proceed more continuously. and most important, this cctv inspection system improve the inspection efficiency, time is moeny~

The inspection team was able to complete the inspection more efficiently and get HD videos and images, this could review repeatedly, rather than relying only on on-site judgment. if you are a pipe inspection contractor, your customers will ask a inspection report, so you can send he directly.

This made it easier to later pipe maintenance or cleaning or pipeline rehabilitation. and which sections could continue operating without immediate intervention.

Application in Municipal Pipeline Maintenance

This inspection case shows how cctv pipe robotic inspection equipment, such as the GT108 can be used as a practical tool in routine municipal pipeline maintenance.

By combining on-site inspection with recorded visual data, maintenance planning can be based more on actual conditions observed inside the pipeline, rather than assumptions.

In this project, the GT108 operated stably throughout the inspection, and provided usable inspection results for subsequent maintenance planning.
